I can still recall when I first heard ofMercato Centraleand how I wasso eager to visit and check it out. Back then it was the first and one of it's kind in the Metro. Now, Mercato Centrale is operating many food markets and it hasn't lost its touch. When I visited the newly opened Gourmet Food Fair by Mercato CentraleinMarket! Market!, it was swarming with hungry customers eager to indulge in the affordable meals offered by the vendors.
Chef Bab's Sizzling Sisig and Moretakes sisig to another level with their customized sisig. The first step is to choose you sisig: Tofu Sisig, Veggie Meat Sisig, Chicken Sisig, Beef Sisig,Bangus Sisig, Squid Sisig, Pork (Dinakdakan) Sisig orCrispy Pork Sisig. Then, pick you ingredients and seasoning then serving size. For those yearning for Bagnet...Giga Bite Kebab offers Kebabs and other street foods.
More choices here...
Now you can have lechonon a casual night with Timplador De Cebu Boneless Lechon.Takoyaki... my favorite Japanese snack is here too.Choosing is the most difficult part because there are so many to choose from.

Ace's Cuisine |
My friends loved the
Cajun Pork Chops from
Ace's Cuisine.Choose any pasta you want all at the same price.Crowd seem to be gathering this stall. I peeked through and saw it was the sisig they were crazy about.Tried the The Sultry Chef before and I recommend it!
Another stall with a blockbuster line is this one for its Crispy Shrimp.Street food selections are not complete withoutKwek Kwek. DessertsFor desserts, a popular chose is the Gateau de Crepe.Got a free taste of the
Pastillas Flan but found it a bit too sweet for me. Texture was perfect though. They also have the
Yema Cake which seems to be fast-moving based on my observation.
Been seeing
Piper's Pan in other food markets but it's the first time I tried it. I tried the Red Velvet which my friends bought on a 3 for 100 package. It was pleasantly sweet with buttery icing.

Rosalie's Pinipig w/ Buko, Suman, Bibingka |
Rosalie's Pinipig w/ Buko, Suman, Bibingka is our family favorite.
![rosalies rosalies]() |
Assorted Kakanin (70 php), Sapin-Sapin (30 php), Puto Pao (150 php), Thin Suman (25 php), 2 pcs. of Fat Suman (25 php) |
I bought all these stuff to take home for the family. Since we always but only the Pinipig w/ Buko, I thought we should try something else this time.

Puto Pao (150 php) |
The Puto Pao (a pack of 10) for me was pretty good as it is soft and moist. It also has flavorful salted egg toppings. But, the family still preferredDapar's Puto Pao over it.The Assorted Kakanin and Sapin-Sapinfailed to reach our expectation as they were all lacking in flavor. The suman was good especially when eaten with the latik sauce. The Thin Suman was tastier than theFat Sumanwhich is probably why it cost more too.![rosalies rosalies]() |
Pinipig w/ Buko |
Well, I think though we'll only buy the Pinipig w/ Buko from them next time as it is still the best for us.
Good thing we can now easily buy
Pinipig w/ Buko at the
Gourmet Food Fair by Mercato Centrale cause it's so good!
You can also purchase them at their store in 219 Sta. Rosa II, Marilao, Bulacan.
