Bilao at Palayok Restaurant has a very big pot display which makes it quite noticeable from Rizal Avenue in Puerto PrincesaPalawan.
If I recall correctly, we just walked from our hotel to this place.
We were enchanted by the place upon arrival. It had bright lights and native huts.
The decor are made of native materials such as woods carvings, shells, stones, weaving and more.
Every part of the area is well lit too.
It has a bridge and pond which always captivates me.
This is the main dining area.
It has multiple washing area which is also as artsy and has soap and and dryer to boot.
I'm sure you'll find this hand washing stations useful when dining.
For a more private dining, you can opt for the private rooms or the mini kubo (hut). We were ushered to the mini kubo which was outside the main dining area and near the pond. It is equipped with a fan and katol to ward off mosquitoes.
Food
Seafood sa Gata
You'll rarely find me getting my hands dirty and crazy for crabs. But, I swear the Seafood Sa Gata is so good! The crabs were so sweet and juicy and the huge cheesy clams were just as tasty. The gata (coconut milk) was able to enhance the flavor too.
We were quite pleased with the big and generous pot of Vegetable Kare-Kare too. The vegetable were naturally sweet and crunchy. This is one of the best Vegetable Kare-Kare I've ever had and it's so affordable too.
Beverages
For beverage we had a pitcher of Tropical Punch. It was nice and refreshing! It had slices of oranges and apple on it too.
